Experimental study of cooling water regulation characteristics for reciprocating chiller system

Taking the cooling water system of central air conditioning in a medical office building as the research object, presents the central air conditioning system, intelligent control system, test conditions and control strategy. Carries out the experimental study on variable frequency control of cooling water pumps combined with fans of cooling tower in the stable condition of the cooling load and outdoor air temperature. Analyses the devices’ characteristics of coupling, adjusting inertia and stability in the adjustment process. Furthermore, studies and compares the integrated energy saving rates under different control strategies. Analyses and verifies the advantages of combined frequency control strategy in the control of the cooling water pump and tower fans, which provides a useful reference for optimal control of the air conditioning system.
